Residential Learning On Dartmoor

In the heart of England’s incredibly beautiful Dartmoor National Park

For 1-2 days of in-person private tuition // personal creative practice development

These sessions are tailored to suit your unique interests and needs. Perhaps you are working on a project and want a blend of studio time and specialst knowledge and guidance from Babs to support you. You could treat this as a private personal creative development residential stay. Be it to develop your natural dye skiils, learn to extract pigments from plants for printmaking, ink art, to create your own woodblocks for printing, painting canvas art, dyeing clothing and fabrics, small or large scale, yarn based textiles or paper arts.

Babs can guide you into how to transition your creative practise to one that is 100% plant-based and non-toxic. Using bio-mimicry and circular design theory, a soil-to soil ethos with a focus on local, seasonal sourcing and biodegradability. Creating items and work which is safe to make, handle, use, wear and eventually give back to the soil as biological nutrients, rather than pollutants - Food, not poison, for the Earth.

In-person tuition

Residential and non-residential options:

1/2 Day (2-3 hours) £450 consessions rate/ £500 standard rate/ £650 business rate/ £850 corporate rate

Full day (4-6 hours) £650 consessions rate/ £700 standard rate/ £850 business rate/ £1050 corporate rate

+ any extra materials costs

Resiential rates vary depending on requirements. Estimate an additional £100 per person per night for self-catering accommodation. To include our organic, local, seasonal vegan catering, there is an additional cost of £30 per meal per person or £70 per day per person for three meals and snacks.
