Seattle, WA: Block Printing With Natural Dyes @ Botanical Colours

Join us for a day of experimentation and creativity, using natural dye extracts, vegetable-based thickeners and Bab’s expert guidance to create note cards and printed textiles in our fully-equipped studio.

Author Babs Behan of Botanical Inks is traveling from England to the US to teach a workshop on block printing from her new book, Botanical Inks: Plant-to-Print Dyes, Techniques and Projects.  We are pleased to welcome her for a one-day workshop at our Seattle, WA studio Thursday, August 23, 10am-4pm.

In this class, you will receive

  • A set of paper cards for printing
  • Generous swatches of fabric for printing
  • Instruction on how to select and prepare fabrics, mordant and set up for printing and printing techniques
  • Registration includes a signed copy of Bab’s book: Botanical Inks
